Taking Care of Your Skin: Neutrogena's Hydro Boost Line

This is a big day for my Taking Care of Your Skin series. Typically I'm a sucker for a new and expensive product and am far too willing to spend money on skincare. Today, however, is a turning point in my skincare journey. I tried several drugstore products from Neutrogena's new Hydro Boost line and I'm obsessed.

As we all know, hydration is the key to healthy skin and while the most important key to staying hydrated is drinking plenty of water, you can also work on hydration through the skincare you choose. The products in Neutrogena's Hydro Boost line provide a dose of purified hyaluronic acid that absorbs up to 1000x its weight in water. That means it plumps dehydrated skin and leaves you feeling soft and supple.

With Neutrogena's Hydro Boost line, hydration is incorporated into every step. I used to think of cleansing as something I did just to get my makeup off at the end of the day. However, now I'm using the Hydrating Cleansing Gel every evening (it does the best job of removing sunscreen and mascara!) and the Exfoliating Cleanser every morning. I'm getting a boost of hydration while I cleanse and fresh my skin.

After I'm done washing my face in the morning, I apply the Multi-Vitamin Booster which leaves my skin feeling energized and hydrated. A minute or two later, I follow it with the Water Gel which is a great every day moisturizer. Of course, don't forget to apply sunscreen on top – you don't want all of this hydration to go to waste.

So, do these Neutrogena Hydro Boost products work for hydrating on a budget? Absolutely! None of the products cost over $20, with the cleansers coming in under $10. They're such a deal and a great way to give your skin an added boost of hydration that you can't always get simply by staying physically hydrated.
