Go Hoos!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted, but just wanted to offer a quick recap of my weekend – it was a perfect game day in Charlottesville, 68, sunny, you literally couldn’t ask for a better Homecoming. The Hoos pulled out a huge (and completely unexpected!) win v. #12 undefeated Georgia Tech. I haven’t seen that good of a game in C’ville in a long, long time… I’m hoping this a turning point for Mike London and Virginia Football!

After the game, a few friends and I had dinner at Horse & Hound Gastropub.  Horse & Hound replaced Bluebird Cafe (am I remember this correctly?) after I graduated and I had yet to try it out.  The appetizers were delicious (or was I just completely starving?)… but the meal definitely fell short. I had a swiss, artichoke, and bacon melt which sounded so promising but there was simply too much bread. I expected a melt to be open faced on a piece of toast but instead it was a sandwich overwhelmed with a hearty, crusty bread.

I’m pumped for the rest of football season now… hopefully we’re headed towards a bowl game!
