First, a before shot. When I first painted my room, I loved the fresh, crisp spring green, but I got tired of the all white bedding and how often I had to do laundry and I couldn’t seem to find any bedding that complemented the green.
While I was home over Christmas, I was looking through interior design books and thought that a more mature, neutral, subtle look would be a nice change. The paint color was a little more blush than I expected but it’s actually a lovely, flattering shade. I found inspiration for a headboard on Pinterest (it was officially from Better Homes and Gardens) using molding, ribbon, and DIY artwork with pages from a gorgeous Flora and Fauna calendar. The faux sheepskin rugs from Ikea are the perfect addition of texture and softness and the combination of silver and shell frames are a wonderful pop of shine.
