Drugstore Finds

Thought I’d share two of my latest drugstore beauty finds with my readers on this hot Thursday morning.

After seeing Maybelline Dark Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Treatment and Concealer written up in several magazines I decided to give it a whirl. Yes, it’s anti-aging, but it’s never too soon to start! I was a little apprehensive when it took me about 30 turns to actually get the product to come out of the applicator, but once I got it out, it was the perfect consistency. It’s a thick liquid which is perfect because you don’t feel like you’re drying out your undereye area with heavy makeup but at the same time it’s not so runny that it’s going to melt off after 20 minutes outside in humidity. Whether the anti aging components actually work is a mystery to me, but it definitely brightened up my dark circles and seemed to stay on for most of the day.

I don’t typically use primer but I had gotten a free sample of a L’oreal Magic Perfecting Base primer in my Target beauty bag last month and I liked it enough to invest in the real thing. I use it after letting my regular moisturizer dry and before applying a lightweight liquid foundation. At first I thought I would only use this when I was getting really dolled up but it’s become part of my everyday routine because it allows my makeup to go on smoothly and stay on throughout the day. It’s the perfect base.

Have you tried any new budget friendly products lately?

We love the age rewind concealer! You are right that it's not drying at all and really does the job.Jayme& Mendi @ HLNC
