Post Thanksgiving Treat

I instagrammed a picture of these the other day and per request, here’s the recipe! I based it on a recipe that I found on The Frugalista Diaries last week (look at those adorable heart cookie cutters she used!)

Pomegranate Cream Cheese Tarts


Cream Cheese
Vanilla Extract
Granulated Sugar
Confectioner’s Sugar
Refrigerated Pie Crust cut into circles using a cookie cutter or a juice glass
Pomegranate Seeds

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix 4 oz. cream cheese with 1 tsp. vanilla extract and a couple teaspoons sugar (just wing it.) Put a dollop in the middle of each pie crust circle and top with a small handful of pomegranate seeds. Cover with the other side of the circle and press together. Sprinkle with granulated sugar. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the tarts start to turn golden brown. Sprinkle with confectioner’s sugar and serve warm.
