If you’re looking for something to do in D.C. this weekend or next, check out the Rent the Runway Pop-Up Showroom at Living Social. It’s only $8 and it includes champagne, a tote bag, and a 20% off discount. I’m going with a friend this weekend and am hoping to find a few dresses/accessories for an upcoming wedding in January and an event in February. I’ve never personally done Rent the Runway, but I have a few friends who swear by it.
I popped in Ann Taylor Loft on Sunday and was pleasantly surprised. I’ll start off by saying I never, ever shop there (I have typically found their quality to leave something to be desired), but last week the blog Maryland Pink and Green featured a gorgeous lace top from Loft and I just had to see it in person. Lucky me, there was an Ann Taylor Loft conveniently located next door to where I was on Sunday. I tried on the top in person and it’s just as pretty as I had hoped, and it also comes in white and navy.
While I was in there, I also tried on a pair of skinny cords. Skinny cords can be a tough thing to fit, but these were so cute, so flattering, and came in the most fun colors. They run true to size and are $22 online, which is even better than in the store.
And, one last thing, I should have posted about this last week, but when I was home in Richmond over Christmas (I took a week off which was so wonderful), I went to see the Chihuly exhibit at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts with my family. If you’re looking for something to do in Richmond, definitely check it out. He is a glass sculptor that does absolutely stunning pieces that are just drenched in color. If you follow me on Instagram, you probably already saw this picture of my favorite piece, The Persian Ceiling.
And that’s enough for this kind of all over the place Tuesday post!
