I may be a little late to the kale chip train, but I made them for the first time last night and I’m hooked. They’re a super inexpensive, healthy snack that take about 15 minutes to make start to finish.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Separate the kale into bite size pieces taking care to tear out the thick stems. Toss the kale pieces in olive oil, salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Bake the kale for 10-15 minutes on a cookie sheet covered in parchment paper (don’t forget the paper! It makes the kale crispy!) Watch it carefully as it will cook a lot faster than you might expect, but let it get slightly browned so that it truly is crispy.
