Getting a Head Start on Holiday Decor

As of this year, I had zero Christmas decor to my name. I always lived with roommates who had more than enough Christmas decorations for all of us, so, as someone who cannot stand clutter or excess, I saw absolutely no need to add to the holiday cheer.

Now that I am starting from scratch, I have to start figuring out my holiday decor theme. Always one for practicality, I  find myself drawn more to the things I can actually use rather than tchotchkes that will just sit around and collect dust. So it’s no surprise that I want to buy every entertaining piece I see. Double old fashioned glasses? Who cares if I already have a set – I need festive ones? A snowflake candy dish? Yes, please! A gold beverage tub is so much better than my normal lucite one!

For those who know me, I’m definitely not a red or green person.  They are certainly not my colors, so I don’t see any reason to introduce them just because it’s Christmastime. Luckily, this appears to be the year to go all out with gold and silver decorations. How fabulous are all these pieces below?

,,,i have an affinity for all things "dots", so, i purchased the barware that sports the gold dots. and because my motto is "cheers" i had to have the glassware that sports my sentiment. Target purchases bring a smile to my face and leaves me with money in the bank account!,,,
