Yesterday evening I stopped by the Junior League of Washington‘s Fall into Fashion event at Bloomingdale’s. Fall into Fashion is the first event in the lead up to Holiday Shops, a four day holiday shopping bazaar November 20-23 that brings in vendors from across the region.
Shoppers and League members sipped champagne, had their makeup done by Bobbi Brown makeup artists, snacked on tasty appetizers, and were entered into two fabulous raffles (one for a gorgeous Tory Burch cross body bag!), all while receiving 20% off all purchases for the evening, with a percentage going back to support the JLW and its work for literacy in the Washington area.
Attendees also went home with a Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks. For as much of a makeup addict as I am, I had actually never tried any Bobbi Brown. I chose the Pot Rouge in Pale Pink (it’s not so pale as you’ll see below) and absolutely loved it. It’s a natural looking berry shade that looks like a flush of color on lips and cheeks, plus the texture felt great on both, which I find is not always the case with products that bill themselves as designed for lips AND cheeks.
Next month, I’ll have two tickets to give away to the actual Holiday Shops weekend so that a reader and a friend can get all their holiday shopping done in one fell swoop. Jewelry, clothing, delicious food items, and anything monogrammed you could possibly want, it’s all at Holiday Shops. Stay tuned for next month’s giveaway!
PS For the record, I’m a member of the JLW and absolutely love it. For more information about joining, click here.
