As the air gets drier, regular old lip balm no longer does the job. After an unsuccessful attempt at a DIY brown sugar scrub (anyone have a good recipe?), I decided to look into lip scrubs and Bliss’ Fabulips Sugar Lip Scrub was the winner.
Fabulips is a gentle exfoliant made with sugar and almond and walnut shells for exfoliation as well as jojoba oil, olive oil, cocoa butter, and vitamins to moisturize and soften lips. My lips felt instantly softer and smoother, which is the ideal foundation for any of fall’s darker lip colors and saved me from reapplying Burt’s Bees every five minutes.
A little goes a long with way this lip scrub so even though I’ve been using it every day for about a week, I’ve barely made a dent in it. This scrub is definitely something you should incorporate into your cold weather beauty routine.
While I didn’t try out Sugar’s Lip Polish, I do love their lip treatments, so if you’re looking for a paraben-free product, definitely try out that one. And, since we’re on the topic of scrubs, another one of my favorite scrubs is Julep’s Facial for Hands. It’s another paraben-free product and this one is a glycolic scrub for hands that works wonders on dry hands.
