A while back I blogged about my favorite lip exfoliating treatment, which I use almost every day, but that’s only step one in making sure my lips stay moisturized in this dry winter air. A lip balm that truly sinks in and sticks with you is essential for cold, blustery days and since I’ve tried pretty much all the lip balms out there, these are my absolute favorites, the ones that will stay on and won’t leave you reaching to reapply every 10 minutes.
I’ve mentioned some of these products before when I’ve written about my drugstore favorites or my most recent Birchbox discoveries, but here they are in one easy collage. Sugar Lip Treatment is fantastic because it has both color and SPF, plus it comes in a whole slew of shades. When you need something super heavy duty, Dr. Lipp Nipple Balm for Lips is the best. Burt’s Bees and S.W. Basics are both great basic, natural lip balms. For a subtle touch of color, try Nivea A Kiss of Berry Swirl, and for a great nude, reach for Pixi by Petra in Honey Nectar.
Another one of my favorites, that I couldn’t find a great image of, is TruBee Beeswax Lip Balm. You can find a list of retailers on their website but it’s a great alternative to Burt’s Bees, plus I just love the aesthetic of the packaging. Of course, eos is also an always popular lip balm and I keep the Sweet Mint flavor on my bedside table because it happens to match my bedroom perfectly (yes, I’m crazy like that.)
Do you have any favorite lip balms that I should try?
