Cherry Blow Dry Bar

This evening I capped off a wonderfully relaxing and productive snow day with a trip to Cherry Blow Dry Bar. I always love the vibe of blow dry bars, the air is filled with excitement as women are sitting in their chairs indulging themselves a bit before a night out. Of course, a beautiful space and wonderful service always helps this ambiance and Cherry Blow Dry Bar absolutely delivers on all fronts.

I was offered a glass of champagne as soon as I walked in and as someone who appreciates the little details, I was loving the adorable logo on my champagne glass. A row of red leather chairs sat at a pristine white counter offset by a gorgeous light turquoise glass backsplash and sparkling chandeliers. Red hair dryers and fancy little mirrors were ready and waiting at each station. I sat down with my stylist, Amber, and explained that I was looking for major volume with a bit of curl and she was ready with images to confirm that we were on the same page. A relaxing hair wash and an hour of impressive work with the blow dryer and a round brush later and my hair looked fabulous. I could not believe the curl and body that was able to be accomplished without a curling iron (though that’s certainly an option!).

Blow outs at Cherry Blow Dry Bar are $35 which is a small splurge but a great value in the world of blow outs and definitely worth it for a big night out or a special occasion. The stylists all use products from Kevin Murphy, a line out of Australia. I’ve left blow dry bars before where my hair felt sticky and hard from an excess of hairspray, but this was a completely different experience.  Amber used a variety of products on my hair that boosted volume and left my hair feeling weightless.
