As I mentioned in Saturday’s post, I am trying out Rocksbox for the next few months and I was so excited when my first box came on Saturday afternoon! Rocksbox is basically Netflix for jewelry, which is perfect for someone like me who prefers keeping their own jewelry collection a little more streamlined but likes throwing in a fun piece every now and then.

You pay $19 a month for a Rocksbox subscription (use the code “pineapplesandpearlsxoxo” for a free month, expires March 16) and they send you three pieces curated to your style preferences. You can keep and wear the items for as long as you’d like and send them back with an enclosed return envelope and label when you’d like to receive three more pieces. Rocksbox carries so many fabulous jewelry lines including Loren Hope, Kendra Scott, Gorjana, and Margaret Elizabeth. After each box, you can give feedback on the website to better inform your stylist in picking your next month’s pieces.

How chic is this packaging? Items are sent in a cute white box tied with a navy bow and are carefully packaged with bubble wrap in their own individual jewelry bags. A personalized note details each item that you have received. Included is a padded envelope and pre-paid return label to send back your items when you are ready for a new box.

When I filled out my style profile, I noted preferences such as gold over silver, an affinity for big, bold pieces, and the fact I am so over those stereotypical enamel statement necklaces. With those in mind, this box included a Teardrop Bangle from Margaret Elizabeth Jewelry, the Golden Flair necklace by SLATE, and Gorjana Crescent Stud earrings. I immediately loved the bangle. The black druzy stone goes with everything and I wear so much black during the winter that I could literally throw this on every single day. Plus, I’ve never owned anything from Margaret Elizabeth but have always thought all her pieces are feminine and pretty, so it was great to give one a trial run. If you follow me on Instagram (@hmbien), you already saw me sporting the bracelet today.

The earrings from Gorjana are a little bit delicate for my usual tastes but they are actually so easy to wear that I’ve already worn them twice since Saturday. I also got a few compliments on them – who knew earrings so small could garner so much attention?! I did, however, put in the feedback notes that I typically go for earrings a bit larger. My first reaction to the necklace was that’s way too edgy for me. As soon as I put it on though, my opinion totally changed. Since it’s all gold, it’s super versatile. I wore it out Saturday night to dress up a casual dress, sweater, and thick tights and then wore it again on Sunday with a daytime look. It’s a pop of metallic that can truly go with anything.

While I’ll probably send these items back this week so that I can get another box full of new goodies, if I did decide to keep any of these items, I could buy them at a discounted price through Rocksbox. Typically prices are about 20% less than retail and each month you’re given $10 to spend which knocks just a bit more off the top.

It’s definitely worth giving Rocksbox a try whether you’re subscription box obsessed or just like to switch up your jewelry on a regular basis. Remember to use the code “pineapplesandpearlsxoxo” to receive one month free and see how it goes!
