I’m always on the lookout for new moisturizers that are super hydrating, safe for sensitive skin, and readily available at the local drugstore. For the past few weeks, I have been using Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel both day and night. I was apprehensive at first because I typically think of gels as less hydrating than a thick cream moisturizer, but I am so impressed with how soft and supple my skin feels from the time I put this gel on until the time I’m ready to wash my face.
The Hydro Boost Water Gel doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of some moisturizers that incorporate anti-oxidants, SPF, or retinoids, but it does have hyaluronic acid to retain moisture olive extract to build up skin’s moisture barrier. These ingredients are particularly important right now, while the cold, dry air is wreaking havoc on skin, and long lasting qualities make all the difference in hydrating healthy, smooth skin. This is a straight forward moisturizer that battles dehydrated skin and leaves it feeling refreshed and glowing.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel comes in a jar that’s reminiscent of sea glass and the product itself is a lightweight gel that looks like a cool pool of water. Everything about this moisturizer conjures up images of hydration and looks do not deceive in this case. Definitely check out Hydro Boost Water Gel next time you’re looking for deep moisture that will keep your skin feeling soft and healthy throughout the day – just make sure you add an SPF on top!
