Candles for Nesting Season

Not sure if it’s the cold I’ve been fending off or the frigid weather that’s finally made it’s way to DC, but I’ve had no desire to do anything this week except go to a workout class post-work and then come home and get cozy. January and February = nesting season.

A big part of creating that cozy ambiance in my own apartment is always burning a warm scented candle. Florals are lovely in the spring and summer, but as soon as the air starts to turn crisp, I look for candles that have rich woodsy notes of vanilla, bourbon, and tobacco. Below are a few of my favorites—I’m burning the Teakwood and Tobacco candle as I write this.

1 Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt – 2 Voluspa Ambre Lumiere – 3 diptyque Feu de Bois

4 Izola Golden Thyme – 5 P.F. Candle Co. Teakwood and Tobacco

6 Cold Spring Apothecary Pine and Cedar

What are some of your favorite nesting rituals? Do you have any particular candles that I haven’t listed above that I should absolutely check out? Let me know! And, in the meantime, you can shop these candles in the images below!
