Sometimes I start a post with the best intentions and it quickly spirals into something else. This is exactly what happened today. I set out with the idea of doing a Valentine’s Day gift guide with cute and inexpensive pink and red presents that would be perfect for a friend or family member. Then it turned into me perusing websites for things that I want. That aren’t under $25 and aren’t adorable, hot pink, and polka dotted.
But, if you’re looking to pick up a pressie for me, I want all of this. Especially those shoes, and the earrings, and the watch, and everything from Eberjey. Thanks!

I went through a phase of getting rid of everything red in my wardrobe a few years back. I was convinced it clashed with my auburn hair and fair skin. Well, clearly I’ve since come around. It’s the color of the hour in this post and two out of three of my outfit posts this month feature red (exhibit A , exhibit B). If I was Pantone, this would be my color of 2016.
