Weekend Wine Tasting in Virginia

By now I’m sure y’all are well aware that wine tasting is one of my favorite weekend activities. There’s nothing like being out in the fresh air with a glass of Virginia wine. Well, this past weekend, on a last minute New Year’s whim, my friends and I decided to take a trip out to a local Virginia winery, Bluemont Vineyard.

WEEKEND WINE TASTING IN VIRGINIA

Bluemont has a spacious deck that overlooks the Virginia countryside, as well as delicious and hearty food, which I’ve learned is not a given at vineyards in the area. With our tummies full of roasted red pepper and gouda soup, baked brie, and warm bread, we made our way through the tasting menu and settled on a few bottles of their table red. A couple of glasses of wine later, the pictures started snapping—after looking at how well these turned out, I will certainly be bringing my camera with me on more occasions!

And, because I have to do the blogger thing, here are my outfit details: navy and ivory buffalo check scarf, jacket, tan sweater {old, but similar here}, chambray shirt, jeans, loafers {old, but I have these similar ones too}, earrings, bracelet.

MAKE MINE VIRGINIA WINE

Do any of y’all have a favorite Virginia vineyard? Of course the Charlottesville vineyards like Pippin Hill, King Family, and Veritas are near and dear to my heart, but local to the DC area, I absolutely love the Winery at LaGrange.
