I never thought of myself as a leather jacket kind of girl, but when I found myself in need of a last minute layer to go over a ball gown for Mardi Gras, I picked up this tan leather jacket and thought “well, if there’s a time to splurge on an edgy jacket to dress up or down, it’s when I have less than an hour and a half left to get ready for a ball.” I like to think it looked awesome that night and every time I’ve worn it since, which has been a lot.
While I can’t seem to find this particular jacket online, I’ve linked to a similar one…along with similar items for everything in this outfit. While shopping one’s own closet is great, it sure doesn’t make for easy outfit posts.

Now the question would be, can I pull off a black one? Or would that be the place to go the vegan leather route to try it out. I love this one from Emily Schuman’s cupcakes and cashmere line or this ponte knit and vegan leather combo.
