I’m calling this edition one because this doesn’t even scratch the surface of my favorite coffee table books or those on my wish list. Represented below are some great design books and others featuring fabulous photography and style, however this doesn’t get into art books, books featuring iconic women, all of the gorgeous, yet accessible, decor books from bloggers and home editors…the list goes on and on.
An Affair with a House A stunning and classic book documenting interior designer Bunny Williams’ weekend home that should be in every design lover’s living room.
Beaches This doesn’t even come out until next month, but it’s already on my wish list (and you can pre-order it!). I can’t get enough of Gray Malin’s colorful, almost geometric photographs.
Happy Times A close friend got this for me for my birthday this year and it’s a lovely pictorial from Lee Radziwill on her family’s life and times.
Richmond’s Monument Avenue Obviously my hometown needs to be represented in my home, and this book has the added benefit of being written by my one of my favorite college professors, Richard Guy Wilson.
Island Style If there was ever a book that could make me want to abandon city life and galavant barefoot around a tropical island, this book by India Hicks would be it.
The Tropical Modern House Combine modern architectural elements including glass, metal, and open air with tropical climates all over the world, and I’m sold.
Vanity Fair 100 Years: From the Jazz Age to Our Age I love the simple and graphic cover of this book featuring gorgeous photography detailing a century of Vanity Fair culture, style, and icons.
Slim Aarons: Once Upon a Time You can’t go wrong with any of Slim Aarons’ books depicting beauty and a bit of excess, but this is the one that I have.
Vogue: The Covers My bedroom was decorated with images of vintage Vogue covers many, many years ago, so this book seems like it should be a must have.
