There’s no place I love more than Charlottesville in the fall, and while football games give me plenty of reason to make the trip down 29 from September to November, I was thrilled to go for a bit more low key weekend away this past Saturday.
We stayed at an adorable Airbnb out in Afton that was the perfect country retreat. It was close enough to get into town easily, and just a five-ten minute drive to multiple vineyards and breweries. We made stops at all the classic Charlottesville stops. No trying out the latest bar this time. Arch’s, Take it Away, Bodo’s, Blue Mountain Brewery, Veritas Vineyards, Whiskey Jar, a concert at the Jefferson Theater, and late night drinks and snacks at C&O were all musts.
Lucky for me, I’m headed down to Charlottesville again next Saturday for homecomings, and I’m sure I’ll have another slew of pictures and Instagrams at that point—though those will have a decidedly orange and navy theme.
