May Beauty Favorites: Eyes and Lips

This month I finally invested in a palette I’ve been lusting over for years – the Naked3 palette from Urban Decay. I have both of the Naked Basics palettes and use one of the two almost every day, so the rose golds in the Naked3 seemed like the perfect solution to dress up my eye shadow options a bit—plus, the colors seemed the right complement to the muted tones in my sister’s wedding this past weekend. Just as I expected I would, I’ve been picking up this palette for everything from a rosy every day look to a smoky evening eye. I love that it adds a bit more warmth and a touch of shimmer in a couple of the shades to the basic Naked palettes.

Contouring is not exactly in my areas of beauty expertise, however I’ve turned to this Clarins palette several times a week this spring to add highlight, blush, and a bit of bronze. It’s a versatile palette that, while advertised as a contouring product, does not have to make you look like a Kardashian.

Now, on to lips. It Cosmetics continues to be one of my favorite beauty brands of the moment and this Lip Treatment in Rose does not disappoint. It’s a hint of hydrating color that is like a kicked up version of your go to chapstick. Then, when I’m looking for a bit more saturated color this spring, I turn to this Joli Rouge by Clarins. Moisture and color, that’s the combo I was looking for and found in both of these products.

What are some of your favorite spring beauty products? I’m always on the lookout for something new, so let me know if you have any recommendations!
