Taking Care Of Your Skin: Favorites from Farmacy, Jan Marini, and Clarins

With all my running around this month – it’ll end up being a total of 20 days out of town by March 31 – my energy levels have taken a bit of a hit. And that means so has my skin. The first place I can see how tired I am is on my face. From dehydration to dullness, there’s no hiding my exhaustion. But, that’s where great skincare products are key and today I have four of my favorites for you.

SKINCARE FROM AM TO PM

The key to battling a tired face is taking care of your skin from morning to night. You can’t just put on a moisturizer in the morning and hope that you’re good to go. When you’re already starting from behind, a solid routine is necessary. And, yes, that might mean a little more effort than you’re used to putting in to your skincare. Trust me, it’s worth it.

TRANSFORMATION FACE CREAM FROM JAN MARINI

The foundation for your day starts with a moisturizing face cream that leaves your skin feeling silky smooth and hydrated. Add in peptides that help your skin recover from daily damage and you have a skin saver that is essential to helping your face look its best. I recently tried the Transformation Face Cream from Jan Marini and it does exactly these things. If I use this in the morning, my skin feels hydrated and smooth up until I take my makeup off at night. You can’t beat the hydration and protection that this face cream offers.

FARMACY GREEN CLEAN

Speaking of taking off your makeup, I first discovered Farmacy’s Green Clean last spring when it was in my goodie bag from Create + Cultivate. I was immediately all in on this product. I love a cleanser that not only gets rid of waterproof makeup but leaves my skin feeling moisturized rather than squeaky clean. This cleansing balm does both of those, plus it’s paraben, sulfate, phthalate free. Add in an amazing scent that’s a blend of lime, bergamot, and orange essentials and you have a recipe for a cleanser that is effective, hydrating, and allows your skin to already feel moisturized before you apply on your necessary night cream.

LANEIGE WATER SLEEPING MASK

On to night cream! This is the most important step, especially if you’re not getting a full night’s sleep every single night. Laneige’s Water Sleeping Mask is the perfect overnight treatment to leave your skin feeling deeply hydrated when you wake up. This gel formula has Hydro Ionized Mineral Water and a calming scent that feels like a bedtime splurge every time you put it on. No matter how dry and tired your skin is when you go to bed, this sleeping mask will make sure you feel – or at leas look – refreshed when you wake up. For bonus skincare points, use Laneige’s Lip Sleeping Mask, too.

CLARINS NOURISHING BALM MASK

I couldn’t go over my current favorite skincare products without including a mask. I’ve written about  my love of masks before and this is another one to add to my routine. Clarins came out with a line of SOS masks for a variety of skin issues and I’m loving the Nourishing Balm Mask. It’s a great, and quick, mask to do that feels like a nap for your skin. It gives you a shot of hydration and is amazing for tired skin. There’s a good chance I have it with me whenever I travel.

READY TO TAKE ON THE WORLD

With your skincare routine from morning to night in place, you’ll be ready to take on the world – no matter how few hours of sleep you can pack in your schedule. Now, it’s just all about sticking to that routine! So, make a few minutes for yourself and your skin will thank you.

Thank you to Jan Marini, Clarins, and Farmacy for providing me samples of their products!
