Hello from sunny and oh so comfortably warm Healdsburg, California! I’m seriously contemplating a move here, though Adam tells me I’ll change my mind as soon as I catch a glimpse of the real estate prices.
We arrived out in California last Tuesday night and spent a day exploring San Francisco before taking off for wine country. I couldn’t tell you how many vineyards we went to and now I get the whole Sonoma wine thing – I don’t think I had a bad wine. Plus, we’ve had one great meal after another, and I’m loving this laid-back Cali vibe. We spent the weekend celebrating the wedding of one of my closest friends from college, and now we’re headed back to San Francisco later today for a few days before going up to Tahoe until Saturday.
I spent Wednesday to Sunday truly relaxing and taking off of work, and while I’m working remotely this week, I can’t complain about sitting outside at a coffee shop in Healdsburg while I dial in to meetings and work on copy docs. Fresh air and sunshine do wonders to get the creativity flowing, right?
In the meantime, I’ll have 3 normal posts up this week, so don’t fret, and, over the next few weeks, expect at least 3 travel posts about wine country, 2 from San Francisco, and perhaps another 2 from Tahoe. So, stay tuned – and in the meantime, I’ll be posting normally on social AND you can check out my first post over on Advice from a 30 Something, a new site where I’ll be writing on a monthly basis.
Outfit note: the sunglasses are a perfectly oversized pair from Elizabeth and James, the earrings are a cheap pair of gold hoops from Macy’s, and the top is from J.Crew Factory. I’ve been wearing white tank tops from J.Crew Factory with print skirts on repeat lately, and while this particular one is from a few years ago, I’ve also worn this one more than a few times.
One of our alums owns a winery in Healdsburg–that’s a work trip I hope to get in on some day! Sounds like a wonderful getaway!
