The Beauty Products I Can’t Get Enough of When Traveling

I’ll be honest, I’m not a low maintenance person when I’m at home in DC, but over the pastt two weeks, while I was traveling in California, I learned that with a few go-to products, I can totally get by with a no-nonsense beauty routine when traveling. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying I’m minimizing down to a Cetaphil face wash and an all-in-one moisturizer and sunscreen. BUT, I do have a few favorite beauty products when traveling that let me get ready in the morning and go all the way through until bedtime feeling pretty.

MY FAVORITE BEAUTY PRODUCTS WHILE TRAVELING

I used to pack my toiletry bag to the brim when traveling, but lately I’ve definitely been paring down. I still bring a few more frivolous products – face masks, oils, and the like – but otherwise, I’m trying to slim down my everyday necessities. One serum, one moisturizer, one sunscreen – you get the picture. These are the products I brought to California with me that have earned their keep and a permanent spot in my beauty travel bag.

  • Fresh Youth Preserve Face Cream: I got a sample of this last time I went into Sephora to pick up another tube of Benefit’s Gimme Brow (the BEST). Since the sample seemed like enough to last a couple weeks, I tossed it in my bag before I left – and I’m absolutely buying a full size tub when I run out. This leaves your skin feeling super supple and soft all day long. I’m obsessed.
  • Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Bi-Phase Serum:I was wary of this serum at first – it’s literally the consistency of water. However, I was hooked after one day of using it. This is one of the most hydrating products I’ve ever used. I put in on before my face cream, and it makes a huge difference in how much moisture my skin absorbs. I went without it one day – accidentally, of course – and, believe me, I could tell.
  • Mario Badsecu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater: I love a good spray any day, but especially when I’m on the go. I not only bring this facial spray with me on the plane, I also bring it on long car rides, on days when I know I’ll be out and about for hours upon hours, basically anytime I might want to freshen up at some point, I bring this.
  • It Cosmetics Bye Bye Makeup: And, because at the end of the day, you need something to take the day off, this is my go to. This makeup remover and cleanser takes off every stitch of makeup from your face – and it’s cleansing, so you don’t need a second step.
