Taking Care of Your Skin: ExfoliKate by Kate Somerville

Today I’m going to share with y’all the Kate Somerville ExfoliKate line and how my skincare routine has changed a bit over the past few months as my life routine has changed. Working from home, I typically end up showering at night after barre, and don’t shower in the morning – which means I haven’t been washing my face in the morning. I hadn’t noticed much of a difference, until I was in California this month and starting showering and washing my face in the morning again.

KATE SOMERVILLE EXFOLIKATE

Well, apparently that morning face wash makes a big difference in how bright and refreshed my skin looks! Or maybe it’s the ExfoliKate Cleanser I’ve been using. Just a day or two in, I noticed that my skin felt healthier, softer, and more renewed throughout the day. So, while I typically try to keep my cleansing routine as minimal as possible so that I can spend more time on moisturizing, I’m now a believer that perhaps an exfoliating cleanser is just as important a step as the products that stay on my skin throughout the rest of the day. Plus, the ExfoliKate Cleanser has a duo of glycolic and lactic acids which really help with that glowy, healthy appearance.

THE KATE SOMERVILLE EXFOLIKATE LINE

Beyond just the ExfoliKate Cleanser that I’m obsessed with, there are two more products in the Kate Somerville line that I’ve been using consistently: the ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment and the ExfoliKate Glow Moisturizer.

The ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment is also known as the 2-minute facial. It’s meant to be used in the shower, where the steam helps the exfoliating enzymes really kick into overdrive. This isn’t something I use on a daily basis, but rather it’s gone into my once a week routine, before a date night or on an evening when I want a little extra primping.

When I’m looking for an extra boost of radiance (let’s be honest, when am I not?), I reach for the ExfoliKate Glow Moisturizer. It’s one of those moisturizers that gives you deep hydration – which is exactly what I’m always looking for. Your skin will feel glowy, supple, and soft after just using it for a day.

TAKING CARE OF THE WORLD BY TAKING CARE OF YOUR SKIN

And, because we like to do good while we’re buying products and taking care of ourselves, Kate Somerville has recently launched the AdvoKate program. Through AdvoKate, Kate Somerville has partnered with the Plastic Oceans Foundation in their mission to reduce single-use plastic pollution from the environment and the world’s oceans.

When you buy either the ExfoliKate Starter Kit (as shown in my photos) or the EradiKate Kit (for targeting acne-prone or oily skin), 25% of your purchase will go to support the Plastic Oceans Foundation. You can’t beat supporting a worthy cause while also doing the best for your own skin and self-care. Buy either of the Starter Kits here to support the Plastic Oceans Foundation.

Thank you to Kate Somerville for sponsoring this post and thank you to all the brands and readers that make www.heatherbien.com possible! As always, all opinions are my own.
