Packing For The Honeymoon: The Little White Dress

As I mentioned in my honeymoon swimsuit post, I was all about the white wardrobe for our time in Cartagena. I mean, you’re only a bride once, so why wear anything besides white for the bachelorette, the shower, the wedding, the honeymoon… basically the whole wedding year?

There was many a little white dress featured throughout our wedding season, but this one was perhaps my favorite (besides my wedding dress, of course!). I picked it up on a whim during one of those crazy BHLDN sales, and, the minute I tried it on, I knew it wasn’t going back…and that I’d find occasions to wear this dress for years to come.

Fortunately, I not only had the opportunity to wear it during my bachelorette party, but I also wore it to dinner one night during our honeymoon. And now, I’m a firm believer that you need at least one sexy little white dress to wear during your honeymoon. Cute white rompers and pretty white frocks are great, but, seriously, you need to really bring it at least once.

While this particular dress is no longer available, here’s a similar look that’s currently in stock at BHLDN. For dinner out in Cartagena, I wore the dress with these Second Daughter earrings, Cole Haan open-toe pumps, and a vintage ivory beaded clutch.

BHLDN. Seriously, that’s the best place to find a little white dress for your bachelorette party, rehearsal dinner, or honeymoon. Their dresses are unique and bridal – exactly what you want for this time in your life.

Believe me, I looked everywhere for little white dresses and I found that the options are Nordstrom and other stores just weren’t bridal enough. It felt like I was wearing a dress I’d wear any old day, but in white.

When I slipped on this dress though, it felt so special, like something that I’d want to look back on and remember wearing during this time in my life. And, that’s what you want in the little white dress for your honeymoon. You want something gorgeous that makes you feel like a stunning bride, like all eyes are on you.
