As I’m writing this, I’m wearing a pair the exact pair of Rothy’s loafers featured in this post. I’m not sure a day has gone by since I ordered them that I haven’t worn them. They’re that good. I love the Point pair that I have (I wrote a full review here!), but, omg, the loafers are life-changing. Seriously, the most comfortable pair of shoes I’ve ever owned.
WHAT ARE ROTHY’S?
So, what are Rothy’s? They are shoes made out of recycled water bottles that guarantee no break-in time and that mold perfectly to your foot. They’re designed to be the perfect shoe for slipping on to run errands, for a day full of travel and 25,000 steps, for your daily commute. I love that they’re casual enough to wear with a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, but dressy enough to hold their own with a dress and blazer for work. Rothy’s are definitely the most versatile shoe in my closet and they’re always my go-to when traveling because of how little room they take up in my suitcase.
THE BEST SHOE FOR EVERYDAY: ROTHY’S LOAFER REVIEW
I published my review of the Point, the first pair of Rothy’s I bought, a few months ago after so many people asked me what I thought based on an Insta story mentioning the purchase. A few months later, I decided to order the Loafer to replace my seen-better-days J. Crew leopard loafers. Obviously, I opted for a leopard print—the Mocha Spot to be exact. I love that the Mocha Spot has an almost-needlepoint look to it and, while I wasn’t sure about the red and blue piping at first, I love that it gives them a pop of color and a high-end touch.
As I said in my previous review, the Point are SO comfortable, but these loafers are on another level. I wore these walking almost 30,000 steps around NYC last weekend and was totally, 100% fine the whole time. Not a single blister to speak of. They felt as if they were made to fit my foot perfectly, yet they also have enough support to keep my feet from feeling sore. Plus, they look as adorable with pants as they do with shorts. The cut of the loafer hits at the exact right spot—neither too high or too close to the toe. I’m already planning which pair of loafers to buy next.
A FINAL NOTE ON ROTHY’S
As you may recall from my previous review, there are some people that say they went up a half-size in the Point, however, I did order my usual size. In the loafer, you will definitely want to order your normal size. These are roomier through the toe and entire body of the shoe—I ordered my usual size 7 and they fit perfectly from the first moment I slipped them on. Again, if you want to try out Rothy’s, here’s my $20 off referral code with free shipping and free returns.
