Packing for the Honeymoon: The J.Crew Ruffle Bikini

Okay, it’s been a hot minute since my last honeymoon post. I wanted to wait to post until this particular J.Crew ruffle bikini came back in stock for the year – which it did. So, I’m here to share with y’all the second white swimsuit I just had to have for our honeymoon Because, why stop with one?

A WHITE BIKINI FOR THE HONEYMOON

If you’re going somewhere warm for your honeymoon, why would you bring anything besides white bathing suits? While, of course, you can wear a white bathing suit any day of the summer, this is the one time when you’re expected to wear all white, all the time. I definitely, absolutely, 100% went overboard on the white for our honeymoon – and I have zero apologies for it.

I already shared the amazing white one-piece swimsuit that I found at Nordstrom Rack with you months ago, but, given all the hard work I put into getting in shape for the wedding, I knew I wanted to bring along a bikini, too!

THE J.CREW RUFFLE BIKINI

I’d had my eye on the J.Crew ruffle bikini for ages. Seriously, I think this is a style they’ve brought back every summer for years now. So, when it came time to choose a white bikini, while I ordered literally every white bikini top and bottom from J.Crew, I knew this was going to end up being the one. It’s cute with the ruffles, without being too girly, and it’s a swimsuit that I will absolutely wear long after the honeymoon is over. For reference, I went with an XS on the top, and a M on the bottom (I swear this bottom isn’t minimal coverage, I just have a lot going on to cover…or not cover).

And, if underwire is your thing, the top is also available with that option.

THIS STUNNING LOCATION

You’re probably wondering where this incredible location is – it’s the pool at Casa San Agustin, a boutique luxury hotel where we spent 2 nights of our honeymoon. I would absolutely have spent the entire 6 days there…but it would have blown our budget. If you’re headed to Cartagena, you must plan at least one night here or even make a reservation Casa San Agustin’s restaurant, Alma. The entire hotel has this lush, old-world feel. It’s incredible.
