Y’all know by now that I’m obsessed with my Rothy’s. I’ve reviewed the Rothy’s point for you before, I have a Rothy’s loafer review on the blog, and now I’m updating my Rothy’s point review for summer! And, to be honest, I wasn’t actually planning on doing another review, but I’m obsessed with this Safari print and happened to have fellow blogger Dana snap a few photos when I met up with her for coffee last week. So, why not share these shoes for summer?!
ROTHY’S POINT REVIEW: SAFARI
For those that don’t know, Rothy’s are a women’s shoe start-up out of San Francisco. Made out of recycled water bottles, these flats promise no break-in time and a fit that perfectly hugs your foot. Meghan Markle wears them, NBD, we have the same style.
They seriously are the most comfortable shoes—I wear them to walk 10,000+ steps on a regular basis. They’re my go-to commuting shoes. Plus, the Point in Safari is the perfect summer color. It’s that timeless olive that looks chic with denim or white jeans—I’ve even worn them with shorts. The print is super understated and the color is so versatile. (Tip: they are retiring the Safari print, so snag them ASAP if you like them!)
I love that they have a casual look when you’re wearing shorts and a t-shirt, but you can totally pull them off with a sophisticated white dress and gold jewelry if you’re headed to work or jeans and a cami if date night is on the agenda. They don’t cover too much of your foot (who else hates when flats seem to come up practically to your ankle!?), which gives them a feminine appearance. They’re everything you want in an everyday flat.
The best part? If they get dirty, you can pop them in the washing machine and they’ll come out as good as new.

OTHER STYLES AND COLORS AVAILABLE
You’ll find solids, brights, neutrals, subtle prints, bold prints—there’s literally something for everyone. As someone partial to leopard print, I have both the Point in Leopard and the Loafer in Mocha Spot, but the Point in Big Cat is definitely on my wish list. And, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they release the loafer in Red Apple Honeycomb.
A FEW FIT AND FINAL NOTES
A quick note on fit: the ballet flats, loafers, and sneakers all run true to size and should fit right out of the box. However, when it comes to the point, things get a little trickier. A lot of people say to size up, which I did not end up doing.
I first ordered my normal size, a 7. They seemed a bit snug, so I then ordered the 7.5 (thankfully there’s free shipping AND free returns!). When I tried them on side-by-side, it was clear the 7.5 was way too big, so I kept the 7 and after a day of wearing them, I was totally used to the hug-your-foot fit and now I’m obsessed. But, that’s all to say, that if you’re ordering the point, you might want to order your size and the size up just to be sure.
You can check out all the Rothy’s styles here and, as I said, they offer free shipping and free returns, which is always a win in my book.
