Oh hey, coming at you with some scandalous pics today to share one the (literal) foundations of my wardrobe—classic Calvin Klein underwear. Not at all sponsored, I’ve just been obsessed with this underwear and had it on my “to share” list for over a year!
I don’t know about you, but I have the toughest time finding underwear that’s comfortable and cute for everyday. Perhaps my standards are just too high in this regard, but, seriously, I want a balance of both. I’m not going to buy it if it’s not cute and I’m not going to wear it if it’s not comfortable.
So, when I started seeing these retro-inspired Calvin Klein underwear sets pop up a couple years ago, I was intrigued. First, I spotted them at Urban Outfitters (way overpriced), but when Nordstrom Rack started carrying them at a totally budget-friendly price I hopped on board.
RETRO-INSPIRED CALVIN KLEIN UNDERWEAR
The first set I bought was the classic thong (TMI but I only wear thongs, I don’t know how people think full bottom underwear are even remotely comfortable—they’re constantly riding up!) and the racerback bralette that you see here. It got it in both gray and black because, why not? My other go-to favorite is this wider waistband thong. It’s SO comfortable that I even wear it working out.
All of the items Calvin Klein has been coming out with the past couple years are so classic—they’re definitely a throwback to the 80s and 90s (or maybe they never stopped making them?!). When I think timeless American style, I think this underwear, Levis’ jeans, and a white t-shirt. Is there anything more iconic?
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THESE PHOTOS
I plan on doing a more detailed post at some point, but these are a few photos from my boudoir shoot with my wedding photographer, Lauren Louise Collective. One of the reasons I chose her, beside her amazing eye and editing style, was that she offered boudoir shoots as part of her package. I mean, who wouldn’t want a few photos of themselves looking and feeling their best?!
Like I said, I’ll share all the details with you on boudoir shoots and what to expect at a later date, but, if you’re in the DC area, definitely check Lauren out. And, if you’re looking for an incredible hotel in DC, check in to the LINE, where these photos were taken. It’s a super hip place in the middle of Adams Morgan—I can’t recommend it enough.
