Last month, I posted my first official round-up of articles that I’ve been writing around the internet. For those of you who are new followers, in addition to blogging (and working…and working on freelance copy and content clients), I’m also a freelance writer who covers topics ranging from personal development to relationships to career. On occasion, I delve into lighter lifestyle topics like home and entertaining, but these advice essays are some of my favorites to write.
WHAT I’VE BEEN WRITING LATELY
I write for websites including The Everygirl and Advice From a Thirtysomething and these are a few of the pieces that have gone live lately.
- Stop Keeping Score: How to Avoid Resentment in Relationships: This was inspired by a post I replied to in the Forever 35 Facebook group. We have to remember that everyone has different strengths and we can’t expect our partner to read our mind.
- Why I (Mostly) Cut Out Alcohol as a Social Drinker: Spoiler alert: I feel like crap every time I drink…headaches, stuffy nose, just general blah. So it is worth it? No way is my answer. Also, I couldn’t believe how many people messaged me about this article! Is everyone over 30 in the same boat?
- 5 Ways to Bridge the Kids-No Kids Gap: Now that many of my friends have kids, our weekends look just a bit different. But, a little understanding on both sides goes a long way towards maintaining friendships and remaining a part of each other’s lives.
- Dating Red Flags: 6 Early Warning Signs You Shouldn’t Ignore: I’ve listened to so many friends (including myself at one point!) rationalize blatant red flags in the hopes that maybe this one will work out. Here, I’m breaking down some of the most obvious ones that say stay away.
I’ll make sure to update y’all next month with my latest crop of articles. And, if you’re an editor that’s looking for contributors, definitely give me a shout!
