If you follow me on Instagram, which I imagine many of you do, you likely know that I’ve been in Mexico for the past two weeks. We started in Mexico City, then visited Oaxaca, and are now in San Cristobal des las Casas, before heading back to Austin, TX this afternoon (just long enough for a Whattaburger) and then back home to Washington, DC on Wednesday.
When we get back to DC, we’re straight into whirlwind mode with closing on the rental house we’re selling, turning around and closing on a house we’re buying (much more on that later — I don’t want to jinx it!), and all the renovations and decorating that will come with that. It’s going to be a frenetic pace for the next few months, which is to say…
A Few Photo Highlights From Our Trip
Yes, I will write full travel guides for each of the cities we visited during our two-week trip. However, it could be a few months before that happens. When I’m in busier seasons of life, I have to prioritize my day job, my paid freelance work for publications and clients, paid blog work, and shorter, quicker to write fun posts. Unfortunately, my own, non-sponsored travel guides fall under fun to write, but also long and tedious (editing photos, researching, and writing a post like the Martha’s Vineyard Travel Guide I just wrote will take hours of work!).
All that is to say, I’ll share a couple of quick iPhone photos now and I’ve saved our photos from each destination — Mexico City, Oaxaca, and San Cristobal de las Casas — in my Instagram story highlights, but if you have any questions about our trip because you’re planning a trip in the coming months, just reach out! I’m happy to answer questions directly until I have time to pull all my thoughts together intentionally.
