I know I just wrote about not wishing summer away, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say the last week of August dragged on for seemingly months. It’s been a weird, suspended in time moment where no one’s on email, nothing is getting done, and, yet, I have an ever growing to do list. I’m ready for routine, and I woke up this morning ready to take on a new day (just in time for the weekend).
My September To Do List
Yet, for all the newness, September is a tough month to write a seasonal list for. You’re not quite in the throes of fall. It feels too early for apple crisps and hot toddys, yet the vibrant colors of summer no longer feel relevant. So instead we’re going to ease in, not yet embracing cozy afternoons at home. We’re going to get outside, visit small towns, and spend time with friends while the weather is still warm.
And, of course, there will be a fresh new notebook involved (or, in my case, breaking one out from my drawer of too many analog office supplies that don’t get used enough).
