July To-Do List: Slow Down, Cool Off, and Get Out of Town

It’s been a long time since I’ve written one of these monthly to-do lists. Nearly two years, if we’re counting. I suppose that’s what happens when life gets busy with navigating the first two years of working for myself, along with buying and (still) renovating a fixer upper, traveling perhaps too much, and everything else that’s come with life in recent memory.

But that’s exactly why I wanted to bring back this list. Life since July 2023 has felt like constantly trying to regain my footing and repeatedly getting pushed back down again. As someone who truly values having a home that’s my retreat, living through a two-year long renovation where there’s never been a period without something going on has been rough, to say the least. I’ve never been able to settle into a true routine since we moved in. It’s all been a blur of one thing to the next.

So this month I’m going to try to slow down the frenetic pace and lean into the season. My July to-do list low stakes, which is exactly what is achievable. Here’s what I have on the docket.
