Easiest Holiday Recipe. Ever.

Hope y’all are having a Happy Thanksgiving! I had a miraculously traffic free drive down to Richmond last night and was greeted with an unseasonably warm and sunny day this morning. I’ll take it. While I’m on a break between a Thanksgiving brunch and Thanksgiving dinner, I thought I would share one of my favorite holiday recipes.

These (basically) three ingredient meatballs are the easiest appetizer to pull together when you’re in a hurry and need a crowd pleaser. They’re slightly sweet, slightly spicy, absolutely delicious, and take about two minutes of prep and thirty minutes of hands off cooking.

Sweet and Spicy Meatballs

1 package frozen meatballs (I actually used a meatless version from Gardein!)
1 10 ounce jar of grape jelly
1 16 oz. bottle of ketchup
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Combine jelly, ketchup, and seasoning in a large saucepan. Heat and stir until jelly and ketchup have melted together. Add meatballs and let simmer for 20 to 30 minutes or until cooked through. Enjoy!

While I made these on the stovetop, you can also make them in the crockpot if you just want to toss the ingredients in and leave them. Three hours on low and you should be good to go.

Does anyone else have this recipe in their arsenal of easy appetizers? Or do you have an even more delicious variation on it?
