Crockpot Apple Crumble

You may recall when I ventured out to Maryland to go apple picking last month. I went mostly for the experience, to say “yup, I went apple picking once”, but I also arrived home with a half peck of apples that I was determined to put to good use somehow.

Since I don’t love raw apples, but I can’t get enough of baked apples, and I don’t particularly like to bake, I took to the crockpot to make a delicious and easy fall baked apple dessert. Crockpot Apple Crumble will be your new go to dessert, especially when you have to feed a group something sweet with minimal effort.

1/4 cup flour

1 teaspoon cinnamon

3-4 tablespoons butter, chopped

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Mix brown sugar and granulated sugar in bottom layer of crockpot. Next, layer apples on top of sugars. Combine cinnamon, oats, brown sugar, flour and butter in a mixing bowl. Sprinkle over apples.
