A Valentine’s Day Treat: M&M Blondies

Oh hey, it’s February 1! That means it’s time to start celebrating Valentine’s Day! Y’all, it’s my favorite holiday, seriously. Does it get better than lots of chocolate and lots of red and pink? That would be a no. No, it does not.

CELEBRATE VALENTINE’S DAY

Whether you have a significant other or not, Valentine’s Day is such a fun holiday to celebrate – and a romantic dinner isn’t always at the top of the list. I love making – and eating – festive treats, crafting a few Valentine’s, watching romantic comedies, popping in bakeries and doughnut shops to buy their pink themed treats, and using it as an excuse to drink girly cocktails. Honestly, when you think about it, Valentine’s Day is all about the girls. So whip up these easy M&M blondies for a few of your closest girlfriends, tie them up with a pretty pink bow, and embrace Valentine’s Day this year.

VALENTINE’S DAY M&M BLONDIES

1/2 cup butter, softened
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups M&M’s

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9×13 baking dish. Beat brown sugar and butter until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla and continue to beat. Slowly mix in flour and baking powder. Stir in 1 cup M&M’s.

Spread batter into dish and top with remaining M&M’s. Bake 25 minutes or until top is golden brown and blondies have started to pull away from the sides. Let cool, cut, and enjoy!

Ooh cannot wait to make these! Hubby will love them, too, since they're blondies – he's not a big chocolate person!
